The Nehemiah Program:
- Since 1997, The Nehemiah Program
has helped provided over $1 billion
in gift funds to more than 300,000
families nationwide – making
us the most trusted and respected
downpayment assistance provider in
the nation.
- In April 2004, researchers from
the Milken Institute released the
first study of its kind on Downpayment
Assistance Programs (DAP) - specifically
recipients of Nehemiah Corporation's
DAP - confirming that The Nehemiah
Program has become a vital economic
tool for helping low- to moderate-income
families reach that dream and become
homeowners.
- Between 1997-2003, Nehemiah’s
portfolio of 115,000 primarily low-
to moderate-income households saw
their home equity rise by an aggregate
total of over $2 billion – an
average of more than $18,000 per household.
"Our program has helped bridge the affordability gap,
providing needed private funds and helping families
generate real wealth through homeownership."
- Scott Syphax, President and CEO, Nehemiah Corporation of America
